Bodegas F. Rubio

About us

The Winery

Our Story

Located in the heart of the Guadalupe Valley, Bodegas F. Rubio is a family winery founded by Francisco Rubio, built on the belief that farming is a legacy honored through discipline, respect, and vision. From the very beginning, the project has been focused on producing premium Mexican wines, crafted exclusively from grapes grown in their own vineyards.

A project of origin and vision, where tradition carries the legacy.

Through Time

2002

Acquisition

The property was acquired by Francisco Rubio C. with the goal of building a country home in the Guadalupe Valley.

2005

The First Vines

The first vines were planted, cementing a philosophy of complete control over the process — from field to bottle — and prioritizing a limited yield per hectare to produce grapes of greater quality and character.

2008

The Blend

The first vintage was introduced: a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot that marked the birth of Herencia Tinto and defined the house style — focused on elegance, structure, and varietal expression.

2010

Opening

The Rubio family began to fully immerse themselves in the project, taking part in various areas of the winery. Over time, the "F." in the name evolved to represent the entire family. During this stage, the winery opened its doors to the public, welcoming visitors and sharing experiences centered around wine and the Guadalupe Valley.

2026

Premium Winery

Bodegas F. Rubio establishes itself as a premium winery in the Guadalupe Valley, recognized for the quality and character of its wines. Its labels have earned various accolades and today are featured on the wine lists of some of the finest restaurants in the country.

Precision Viticulture and Organic Stewardship

We believe that farming is a legacy worth protecting. That's why our work in the field is guided by a model of ecosystem balance:

Organic Nutrition

We use natural compost and seaweed-derived nutrients to strengthen the vine from the root up.

Biological Control

We use barn owls for pest management, eliminating the need for harsh chemical agents.

Identity Without Distractions

These responsible practices ensure that the soil and climate of the Guadalupe Valley are expressed with complete honesty in every bottle.
